If you want to see a cool Hudson Status Icon in your Eclipse status bar:


(The process is the same for most Eclipse based IDE-s: Flash Builder, FDT, Aptana, SpringSource Tool Suite)

What do you get:

  1. A status icon showing the status of the last build and whether there’s a build in progress:

  2. an ‘inline’ Hudson window when you click on the icon:

  3. Notification popups for build failures(optional):

How to install:

  1. Go to Help>Install New Software:

  2. Enter the following update url:
    http://eclipse-plugin-potpourri.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/org.dcarew.updatesite/
    Select Hudson Status:

  3. Click Next, Accept T&C, Next, Finish, Restart, Etc
